Your first week

Your first week has one goal: make Narada’s numbers yours. Narada starts with safe defaults. Every default you replace with your own answer makes its suggestions fit your business better.

You don’t have to finish everything on day one. This page is the order to do it in.

Who: the owner, or whoever set up the account. If you are a buyer and someone else set Narada up, skip to Day 2.

  1. Get your data in. The easy way: send your ERP exports to the Narada team, and we load and match them for you. Or load them yourself on the Data page. Until your data is in, the other pages show “Let’s get your data in”. See Data.
  2. Set your time zone. Open Settings → Account and pick your time zone. Narada checks your business every night, and this makes sure it runs after your day’s sales are in. See Settings.
  3. Invite your team. Open Settings → Team and invite each person. Narada shows you an invite link. Copy it and send it to them yourself. The link works for 7 days.
  4. Check each person’s permissions. New people can do everything except edit business settings by default, so turn off what each one should not do. A buyer usually keeps “Draft purchase orders” and “Draft emails”. Keep “Edit business settings” with whoever owns your business numbers, such as supplier minimums.

When you confirm your data on the Data page with Yes — this is us, Narada starts its first analysis. It usually takes 10 to 20 minutes. After that, it checks your business every night. Open Today. You will see a short list of what needs you, with the money at stake at the top.

Don’t act on everything yet. Read the list, open one or two items and see why Narada raised them. See Your morning in 10 minutes.

Days 2 to 4: tell Narada how your business works

Section titled “Days 2 to 4: tell Narada how your business works”

Open Your Numbers (top right). It lists every assumption Narada uses to decide what to buy. Each one says assumed (our default) or stated (your answer).

  1. Replace the defaults you know better. Start with what it costs you to place one order and to hold stock.
  2. Fill in your suppliers, biggest first. For each one, add the email address you send orders to and their minimum order. Where Narada measured a likely minimum from your past orders, check it and press Use this if it is right.
  3. Check what running out costs you. These answers set how much spare stock Narada keeps for your best sellers.
  4. Check when stock counts as stuck. This decides which stock shows up as not moving.

Your changes take effect after the next overnight check. See Your Numbers.

Open Order → What to Order (Planner plan) and build your first purchase orders, step by step. See Your buying day.

Narada only drafts. It never sends anything to a supplier. You add each order in your ERP, and your ERP sends it.

  • Your team can sign in and land on Today.
  • Your Numbers shows stated next to the answers you know.
  • Your biggest suppliers have an order email and a minimum order.
  • You built at least one purchase order in Narada, added it in your ERP, and pressed Placed in my ERP.
