Your morning in 10 minutes
Every night, Narada checks your sales, stock and orders. Every morning, it tells you what needs you. This routine takes about 10 minutes.
Two pages answer “what needs me today?”. Today is your to-do list. Brief is the overnight report. Start on Today.
Step 1: Read the money at the top of Today
Section titled “Step 1: Read the money at the top of Today”Open Today. The top shows several kinds of money, each with its period: money trapped in stock (at cost, today), costs and lost margin per year and over the last 90 days, and margin at risk from stockouts (until stock can land). They are not added together.
Read each one with its period. Brief lists them again with the working.
Step 2: Read the line above the list
Section titled “Step 2: Read the line above the list”It tells you what waiting costs. That is what leaving today’s list alone for one more day would cost you, mostly in lost sales.
Step 3: Work the list from the top
Section titled “Step 3: Work the list from the top”The list is sorted so the most important item comes first. Press Review to open an item. From there, depending on the item, you can:
- draft the purchase order;
- claim it, so your team knows you have it;
- dismiss it, with a reason.
See A finding.
Step 4: Check anything that surprises you
Section titled “Step 4: Check anything that surprises you”Narada can only be as right as the data it gets. If a number looks wrong, open the item and press Check it in your ERP. It gives you three things to look up in your own system.
If your ERP disagrees, email support@naradaos.com. The data Narada received is off, and fixing it fixes the number.
Step 5: Look at your supplier decisions
Section titled “Step 5: Look at your supplier decisions”Press Open Orders (Planner plan). It takes you to late orders, missing numbers and purchase orders waiting for a signature. See Orders.
Step 6: When something looks unusual, open Brief
Section titled “Step 6: When something looks unusual, open Brief”Brief is the overnight report. Read the memo at the top first. When several problems share one cause, such as one late supplier, fix the cause once. See Brief.
Once a week: look at stock that isn’t moving
Section titled “Once a week: look at stock that isn’t moving”On Brief, open the explanation of “Trapped in stock” and follow it to Clear Stock. See Clear Stock.
What if a banner says the list is old?
Section titled “What if a banner says the list is old?”The overnight check has not refreshed it. Treat the list as out of date until it updates, and email support@naradaos.com.
