Your weekly cash check

Once a week, the owner or whoever runs finance checks two things: will cash run short in the coming weeks, and who owes you money. This routine takes about 15 minutes.

Narada drafts the reminders. You read each one and send it yourself.

Open Cash → Cockpit.

  1. Confirm cash on hand. Press Edit and type today’s bank balance. Every projection starts from it, and the page tells you when it is out of date.
  2. Find the tightest week. Read the summary sentence and any warning. Note the week where cash runs shortest.
  3. Try the moves that clear it. Delay a purchase order that isn’t urgent, or see what collecting a big invoice early does. Stock that isn’t moving and overdue invoices can free cash without buying less.

See Cockpit.

Open Cash → Collections.

  1. Read who is overdue and who is over their credit limit. Tell your order desk which customers are on hold.
  2. Chase by email. Filter Chase. For each customer, press Draft reminder, read it, then press Open in my email or Copy and send it from your own email.
  3. Call the hard ones. Filter Escalate and Hold. These need a phone call, not an email. Press Statement to have the full account in front of you.
  4. Watch money getting older. Click the 31 to 60 and 61 to 90 day bands. Money that moves into an older band gets harder to collect.

See Collections.

Open Stock → Clear Stock. It shows stock that isn’t selling and what you could do with it: return it to the supplier, mark it down, or sell it off. See Clear Stock.

  • The Cockpit no longer says your cash on hand is out of date.
  • Every customer under Chase has a reminder sent, and the hard cases have a call booked.
